Briefly describe what you hope to achieve by executing the project, including anticipated benefits.
The Degree Works Modernization and SaaS Transition project is aimed at evaluating and enhancing the Solano's Degree Works environment to align with Ellucian’s SaaS model. Through a comprehensive analysis of current customizations, integrations, and reporting configurations, the project activities will identify gaps and provide actionable recommendations for adopting baseline Banner functionality. In parallel, the project will deliver structured transition support, including test planning, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live readiness.
The goal is to ensure Degree Works is fully configured, tested, and operational in a SaaS environment, while empowering functional teams with the knowledge and tools needed for long-term success.
Deliverables Requested

[ ] Delivery of a detailed assessment report identifying all Degree Works SaaS gaps and modernization recommendations.
[ ] Completion of the planning workshop and delivery of a comprehensive test plan and scenario examples.
[ ] Successful execution of user acceptance testing with documented findings and resolutions.
[ ] Degree Works is fully configured and operational in the production environment.
[ ] Functional teams are confident and capable of managing Degree Works in a SaaS environment.
[ ] No critical issues remain unresolved at the conclusion of the transition support engagement.

Strategic Purpose & Objectives

Objectives
(1) Assessment and Modernization Planning:
-Analyze the Degree Works module to evaluate:
Modifications to student, advisor, and applicant extracts
Changes to integration.banner.extract.config
Entries in BAN080
Degree Works scripts and reporting
Identify SaaS gaps and provide recommendations for replacing custom or modified processes with
baseline functionality.
Deliver a comprehensive assessment report with findings and recommendations.

(2) Transition Support and Testing Services:
- Conduct a planning and initiation workshop to:
Introduce transition support concepts and expectations
Present a functional test plan
Recommend testing scenarios and populations
Review findings and discuss next steps

-Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) by:
Providing expert guidance during each migration cycle
Supporting issue resolution and enhancement suggestions
Reviewing findings to identify missed testing needs
Recommending SaaS-aligned testing models

(3) Go-Live and Operational Readiness:
Provide consultative support during scheduled go-live activities.
Ensure Degree Works is fully configured, tested, and operational in the production environment.
