Benefit/Purpose
Briefly describe what you hope to achieve by executing the project, including anticipated benefits.
The project aims to successfully implement Ellucian's Multiple Measures Placement (MMP) Solution within SCC's on-premise Banner environment before January 2026 which will ensure alignment with CCC Multiple Measures, Assembly Bill 705. Currently, Solano counselors are manually placing students into courses. This tool will enable the college to automate and streamline the process of placing students in the most suitable Math and English courses using CCCApply application data and self-reported information.

"AB 705 is legislation intended to support assessment and placement strategies proven to increase student completion rates and close the achievement gap by requiring colleges to consider a student's high school coursework and GPA as primary determining factors for placement." -California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office
